Fresh Snow in Strasburg

Last night was so pretty with the stars shining on the snow, it was just a light dusty snow that swirled around when the wind blew which made it look so magical. I just love when it snows at night and no one has walked or driven on top of it. I have always believed that when it snows, it's God's way of saying here's your fresh start! Make the most of it!

We also were greatful for Linda being so nice to Shonne, as he needed that and he really enjoyed it.
Tomorrow, we are going to sign up for a cute little bungelow, that will be a perfect blessing for their needs.

Strasburg's 275th Anniversary

For all of you that don't know Our Little Town of Strasburg,Pa is 275 years old this year and every month we are planning wonderful events to celebrate.
For the month of April we are planning an “Old Fashioned Country Hoedown & Bakeoff,”
The night is scheduled for April 26, 2008 from 7pm-11pm.
To be held in the Strasburg Area Community Youth Center building, 46 W. Main Street Rear (behind Wesley United Methodist Church).
We are so excited about this because everyone from the planning commission has been putting their all into making this night a success.
Do PAso will be there with their wonderful Dancers, callers and music to kick off the night .
Even if your new to square dancing Come Join us and try something fun & new.
For the more experienced Square dancers come join us and meet some new friends and show us your stuff.
We are also having a Bake off contest. Anyone who has ever dreamed of entering a baking contest Here's your chance.
Enter your best baked goods in several categories for judging by local “experts.”
The catagories are Cakes, Cookies, Muffins & Misc.
We will be judging on originality, taste and appearance.
We will be awarding ribbons and announcing the winners in future newsletters.
Make sure you bake enough for us to auction off or sell piece by piece. We are also considering a cake walk and chinese auction.
Our Country band that will fill the last half of our night with fun will be the wonderful tones of LA ONE.
This definitely is going to be a night that will go down in history.
Come join us and kick up your heels , learn a few new moves enjoy some great food and company and listen to some great music.

Thank You

Thank you to Everyone who came out and danced at Strasburg's "Hoedown and Bake Off".
We had a wonderful time with Do PAso Dance Club teaching everyone to dance, "Myself included"! I don't remember when I've enjoyed laughing so hard at my 2 left feet.
Cindy Baker of "Meranda Zugs" a wonderful little coffee shop in Strasburg was definetely kicking up her heels !
The music of LAONE was Fantastic! That group of guys are Wonderful.
A big Thank You to everyone who participated in the Bake Off.
We had so many wonderful entries, that our local judges had a hard time deciding the winners.( I personally think they all were winners!)
Thank you for your time, your donations of bakery items, and the friendship & support that everyone showed by coming out on a rainy Saturday night to Celebrate Strasburg's 275th anniversay.
The memories will always make me smile.
